Blackjack Rules General Review

In fact blackjack is one of the most popular card games offered in casinos worldwide. Quite a lot of people have chosen it for tons of pleasure and adventure received during the process of playing.

There are a lot of blackjack variations available in land-based and online casinos, but the knowledge of basic blackjack rules nearly always comprises that an individual who participates in a classical blackjack game will also be able to master the principles of any blackjack variation he meets on his way. So let's deal with the terms and rules.

Rules

At the beginning of the game all players make their Bets. A bet is an amount of money you are ready to play for, and in case of a victory you can double or even triple it. Betting the right amount of money is an important moment and it's advisable to read earnings and bankroll section.

A Dealer is man who stands in front of you behind a blackjack table and is going to be your opponent.

Note: a lot of players may play simultaneously at one table, but each of them is playing individually against a dealer. At the beginning of the game dealer deals each player two cards. Everyone looks at his cards and make decision on what to do next. Note: the aim of the game is to as close as possible to 21 points. Those points are calculated according to the card value, and it goes as following: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 go by their own value. J, Q, and K go as 10 points each. An Ace is either 1 or 11 points.

Let's go back to cards dealt to you. You count the hand's total value and in case you are satisfied with the score your option is to "Stand". It means you won't ask for any more cards and the next player is going to make his choice.

Let's suppose you are not satisfied with your score - it's too low. Then your option is to "Hit". It means that the dealer gives you one more card and, and according to the total score now you make your choice again. Remember that your aim is to reach 21 points or as close to 21 as possible, and in case you get more than 21 you "Bust" and lose your bet immediately.

Also there are two main options which are called to "Split" and to "Double down". Splitting means that in case you get 2 same cards you may split them into 2 hands and play those hands independently. As a result your initial stake is doubled, because now you have two hands and two initial stakes referred to each hand.

Doubling down means that you double your initial stake and only ONE more card is dealt to you. After that you stand automatically.

Within all the players dealer gets two cards - one face up and one face down. The face down card is known as a "hole card". After all the players have dealt with their hands, dealer reveals his hole card. Depending on the score dealer hits or stands, and he never splits or doubles. Usually dealer hits up to 17 points, and after reaching 17 or more dealer stands automatically.

Now all player hands are compared to the dealer's hand.
